Position: Field Program Officer
Location: Based in Syria - Northern Aleppo, with field visits required in the northern countryside of Aleppo, Syria.
Contract: Full-Time, One-year (renewable based on performance and funds availability)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday

Job Summary
The field program officer acts as a focal point and is responsible for the overall coordination and management of all activities in the northern countryside of Aleppo inside Syria. They ensure the quality and timely delivery of major programs. The field program officer directly reports to the Program Coordinator for the adequate performance of all responsibilities.
Language:
Arabic is a must. English as an advantage.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Survey and identify civil society organizations and initiatives in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
Support the identification of potential local civil society partners in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
Coordinate assessments of training needs and opportunities with the program coordinator in various forms.
Support the development of our strategy and propose new interventions in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
Assist in developing funding proposals in close cooperation with the program coordinator.
Monitor the implementation of our financed projects and supervise the collection of programmatic and financial progress reports.
Ensure that all reports submitted are in line with our internal policies and regulations.
Organize and supervise the implementation of capacity-building programs, meetings, and sessions.
Facilitate our meetings and sessions with beneficiaries in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
Conduct regular field visits to our funded projects and write reports on them.
Assist in the evaluation process with beneficiaries through questionnaires and focused discussion sessions.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or college certificate.
At least two years of experience in the same field of work
Experience in writing, monitoring, and evaluating development project proposals
The ability to move around the northern countryside of Aleppo
Tact and good dealing with others
High computer skills (excel-word-email)
Effective communication skills
Working with the team
