Field Program Officer - Aleppo Northern Countryside
The field program officer acts as a focal point and is responsible for the overall coordination and management of all activities in the northern countryside of Aleppo inside Syria. They ensure the quality and timely delivery of major programs. The field program officer directly reports to the Program Coordinator for the adequate performance of all responsibilities.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
1. Surveys civil society organizations and initiatives in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
2. Supports the identification of local civil society organizations and initiatives that can be potential partners for our home in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
3. Coordinates the assessment of training needs and opportunities with the program coordinator under different titles and in various forms (training of trainers, distance learning, online platforms) in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
4. Supports the development of the strategy for Baytna and proposes new interventions to work in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
5. Assists in developing funding proposals between local civil society organizations and initiatives on the one hand, and Baytna on the other hand, in close cooperation with the project manager. The field program officer is considered a focal point for receiving funding proposals in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
6. Monitors the implementation of Baytna-financed projects in the northern countryside of Aleppo and supervises the timely collection of programmatic and financial progress reports.
7. Ensures that all reports and attachments submitted by Baytna funded projects in the northern countryside of Aleppo are in line with the internal policies and regulations of Baytna.
8. Organizes and supervises the implementation of capacity-building programs, meetings, and sessions and ensures that the financially and programmatically approved Baytna takes measures.
9. Facilitates the meetings and sessions of our house with the beneficiaries in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
10. Conducts periodic and regular field visits to the projects funded by Baytna in the northern countryside of Aleppo in coordination with the program coordinator and writing reports on them.
11. Assists in the evaluation process with the beneficiaries by filling out questionnaires and conducting focused discussion sessions and individual sessions.
12. Performs other related duties.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
1. At least a university or college education certificate
2. At least one year of experience in the same field of work
3. Experience in writing, monitoring, and evaluating development project proposals
4. The ability to move around the northern countryside of Aleppo
5. Tact and good dealing with others
6. High computer skills (excel-word-email)
7. Effective communication skills
8. Working with the team
9. Full-time
10. Withstand working pressure
